  23. These are all possible points in the menu. Normally you only see the points
  24. which you can execute because of your user level or which make sense for the
  25. current action.

  27. In the following you find an exact description of the several commands:
  28.  
  29. CA = Change Area                    In the several areas there are files with
  30.                                     the same topic. Entering CA you get a
  31.                                     listing of all the areas with number and
  32.                                     short summary. Moreover the security_level
  33.                                     which is at least required for up- or down-
  34.                                     loads is shown. The two values can be
  35.                                     different. To get into the respective area
  36.                                     one of them will do. After that you get a
  37.                                     prompt for the number of the area wanted.

  39. CD = Change Directory               With this command you can change to a sub-
  40.                                     directory. Here you have to know the name
  41.                                     of the directory. So it is necessary to
  42.                                     make a list first. Now you are prompted
  43.                                     to enter the name of the respective sub-
  44.                                     directory.
  45.  
  46. CS = Chat SysOp                     This function makes a bell ringing on the
  47.                                     BBS host to call the sysop. If the sysop is
  48.                                     ready you find yourself in the chat mode.
  49.                                     If the sysop is not available you get a
  50.                                     message. Now you can leave a private mail
  51.                                     to him (sysop user number 5).

  53. DE = Delete Directories or Files    This command deletes directories or files.
  54.                                     After you have entered the respective name
  55.                                     you get a message if you were successful.
  56.                                     To be able to do this you need at least
  57.                                     security_level 90.
  58.  
  59. DL = Download Files                 With this command you can download files
  60.                                     from the mailbox. You get a pompt for the
  61.                                     file name(s). The number of the files which
  62.                                     can be entered is dependent on your
  63.                                     transfer protocol.
  64.                                     Notice: For 3 Downloads you need to make
  65.                                     1 upload.

  67. ES = Execute Script                 With this command it is possible to start
  68.                                     a script file e.g. to create filelists or
  69.                                     pack files and so on. The mailboxprogram
  70.                                     waits until the script has finished and
  71.                                     informs the user about this. For this
  72.                                     action you need at least security_level 80.

  74. LI = List Directories and Files     With this command you get a listing of all
  75.                                     directories and files with description (if
  76.                                     available) in a requested order. At first
  77.                                     the directories are listed with a + before
  78.                                     the name followed by the files with a -
  79.                                     before the name.

  81. MD = Make Directories               With this command you can make directories.
  82.                                     After you have entered the new directory
  83.                                     name you get a message if you were success-
  84.                                     ful. After that you get a prompt for a
  85.                                     description of the directory but you can
  86.                                     go on with enter. For this action you need
  87.                                     at least security_level 60.

  89. MM = Main Menu                      With this command you can get back from
  90.                                     this board to the main menu.

  92. PF = Pack Files                     With this command you can pack files online
  93.                                     with LHA. It is possible to pack up to ten
  94.                                     files. Because the files names have to be
  95.                                     entered it will be necessary to make a
  96.                                     list previously. You will find the packed
  97.                                     file pf1.lha in the directory temp. For this
  98.                                     action you need at least security_level 30.

  100. RE = Rename Directories or Files    With this command you can change the name
  101.                                     of a directory or file. First you have to
  102.                                     enter the current name. After this the new
  103.                                     name is asked. To be able to do this you
  104.                                     need at least security_level 70.

  106. RF = Read Files                     With this command you can read doc files
  107.                                     which are possibly available. Moreover it
  108.                                     is possible to list the content of *.lha or
  109.                                     *.lzh files. Because you have to enter the
  110.                                     file name it will be necessary to make a
  111.                                     list previously.

  113. SC = Set Directory or File Comment  With this command you can modify, delete or
  114.                                     complete the descriptions of the director-
  115.                                     ies or files. After entering the respective
  116.                                     directory or file name a new description
  117.                                     can be written. To be able to do this you
  118.                                     need at least security_level 40.

  120. UL = Upload Files                   With this command you can send your files
  121.                                     the mailbox. How many files you can send
  122.                                     with one upload depends on your transfer
  123.                                     protocol e.g. using x-modem you have to
  124.                                     enter the file name and the description
  125.                                     before transfer, using z-modem you will be
  126.                                     asked for the description of the files
  127.                                     after transfer. If no description is given
  128.                                     the system inserts the respective user name
  129.                                     and the user number automatically.
  130.                                     Notice: For 1 upload you can get 3 down-
  131.                                     loads maximally.
